Square Freight in Round Airplanes –

Air Expediting wasn’t the original plan but, unfortunately, the plan has changed. Now you have square pallets, racks or boxes that need to be moved – fast. Before you send that request to your charter company, check those dimensions! Every inch matters. Unlike trucks, where uniformity reigns supreme, nearly every aircraft is different. Door sizes, floor lengths, cabin heights, cabin widths, range, speed…all different. Unlike trucks, airplanes are round meaning freight height and width are crucial in determining which aircraft is right for a particular mission. So, the next time your plans change and you need to fly, make sure somebody puts some measuring tape on the freight and make sure you keep your bad day from getting any worse.
